Things you should explore in YouTube

 

YouTube is a very famous platform for video sharing as well as gaining information about various topics related to different fields. There are some good features that people should be aware of that will help them in using this application smoothly.

1) Dark Mode 

Youtube comes with an in-built feature of dark mode, which can help in reducing eye strain when seeing the content.

Steps to enable dark mode

1) Open youtube and click on the top right corner to access the setting tab.

2) Now you have to see the settings tab to proceed further.

3) There will be an option of General and you have to click on it.

4) Now you have to click on the appearance tab and you will see three different options.

i) Light Theme ( Default Theme)

ii) Dark Theme ( Dark Mode)

iii) Use Device Theme ( This feature will sync with your smartphone theme)

2) Data Saving Feature

This feature will help you in saving your mobile data as well as help in customizing data consumption as per your needs. If anyone has WiFi it will work even better.

Steps to enable this amazing feature

1) In the settings tab you will see an option for Video Quality Preferences, click on it to explore.

2) In Video Quality Preferences, You will see two new options

i) Video Quality On Mobile Network

ii) Video Quality On Wi-Fi

Under both these options you will see 3 other options, don't be confused by the new options I will be explaining and help you in optimizing your data.

1) Auto = This option YouTube recommends and is based on your WiFi or mobile data speed.

2) Higher Picture Quality= This option consumes lots of data and is recommended to turn it on this option if you have WiFi.

3) Data Saver= This option is best for people who have less internet plan but have a wifi connection at their home. In Data Saver mode the video will be played at very low quality.
