1) Always use plain wallpapers

Many people use live wallpapers on their smartphones which can definitely drain your battery life so, always use still wallpapers. It is said that black wallpapers consume very less battery.

2) Prevent download of unwanted applications

Applications are very much needed in smartphones but if you download applications that you open once a month it will definitely cause some battery drain because these apps work in the background of your smartphone. Nowadays smartphones are coming up with a sleeping feature that checks the applications you are least interactive with and puts that application in sleeping mode. In sleeping mode application will not run in the background but will occupy space on your smartphone.

3) Use Airplane Mode in the areas of low signal

The battery will drain faster if you are traveling to a place where there are no good signals or coverage. The concept behind this is that the smartphone will search for good signals continuously which will definitely use the battery to further continue that process, if the smartphone catches the signals battery will drain normal but if the situation turns opposite battery will drain faster and you will definitely be turning on Airplane Mode.

4) Location Services

Almost all application requires location services for running apps properly. The permission of location services should be given to those applications that actually require them such as Ola, Uber, Zomato, and many more. Always try to give every application the permission of " while using the app" this feature will pop up when you open your application for the first time.
