1) Google Account is a must.

3) You should not set the backup to weekly or monthly because the size of the backup will increase and can get interruption while performing backup so set it to every day. By setting up every day the backup will be fast and can help in saving time and battery drain in the background.

4) If you have WiFi, do a backup with it and prevent using mobile data and vice versa.
